Gambir Train Station

Gambir Train Station, locally known as Stasiun Gambir, is the main intercity train station in Jakarta. Located in on the eastern side of the National Monument Park in central Jakarta, Gambir Station serves executive class and business class train from Jakarta to other cities in Java.

The history of the Gambir Train Station begun before the World War II when the Dutch Colonial built the train station. The initial building was renovated by Indonesia government in 1990s.

The Gambir Station is also a departing point of the Jakarta Airport shuttle bus. The shuttle bus leaves approximately every 30 minutes from Gambir Station to Jakarta International Airport. There also regular bus to Bandar Lampung and share based rental car to Bandung.
